The local community lost a longtime business owner on Sunday, Aug. 18 as William “Bill” Earl Chartrand, Sr. passed away.
Chartrand, and his wife Katheryn (Bergmann) Chartrand, started and ran Chartrand Equipment in Red Bud for over 60 years. It was noted that he was active in both the success and legacy of the family business.
Chartrand’s funeral will be held Thursday morning, Aug. 22 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating.
