Local HCE board members attended 100th annual conference

ATTEND CONFERENCE–Board members of the Randolph County Association for Home and Community Education (HCE) attended the 100th HCE Conference in Effingham on March 12-14. They included: Jeanne Stamm, Janel Kassing, Joan Wiegand, Charlene Woods, Carol Harms and Jane Lucht, all of Red Bud.

“Diamonds are Forever and so is HCE” was the theme of the 100th annual Illinois Association for Home and Education (HCE) Conference held March 12-14 at the Thelma Keller Convention Center in Effingham.

Over 300 members and guests from counties throughout the state attended the event to celebrate this momentous occasion. Numerous activities centered on the accomplishments and successes in the organization. A style show from 1920 to 2020 was included, and attendees also dressed in period clothing during the event. Other activities at the conference included share shops (educational programs), a craft make-it, take-it session, vendors, silent auction and a cultural arts show.
