Two local youths will be participating in the Illinois High School Rodeo State Finals this week, June 7-11, in Monticello.
Payton Weber, a sophomore from Waterloo, will be competing in barrels, pole bending, goat tying and cutting at the state finals.
Annika Olson, a senior from Red Bud, will be competing in barrels, goat tying and pole bending. Her current state standings are sixth in barrels, fourth in pole bending and ninth overall cowgirl out of over 40 participants.
