The Red Bud High School wrestling program will advance another wrestler to the IHSA State Tournament this year. Danny Jackson, son of Dan and Amy Jackson, became only the second RBHS male wrestler to win a sectional championship last weekend at the 1A Carterville Sectional.
The State tournament will be held this weekend, Feb. 20- 22, at the State Farm Center in Champaign.
Jackson will begin the state tournament as the number three seed in the 190-pound bracket in 1A. The bracket will have 16 wrestlers in it.
