Early this week, two separate incidents involving a large police response were reported in Randolph County.
The Sparta Police Department reported that on Sunday, March 31 at 6:43 p.m., they received a call for a large fight in progress at the Pyramid Apartments, located on North Hasle Street.
Around noon on Tuesday, April 2 an incident was reported in Chester near the Randolph County Courthouse.
A post on the Southern Illinois Fire Incidents Facebook page reported that there was a report of shots fired, and that responding to the scene were MedStar Ambulance, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Chester Police, Sparta Police, the Illinois Department of Conservation Police and the Illinois State Police.
