Last week, Red Bud lost a former business owner who was still an active member of the community.
Larry Mehring, 85, a proud lifelong resident of Red Bud, passed away on Oct. 18 at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mehring had owned and operated Mehring Advertising Company from 1973 to 2001. But in addition to his business, he was well known around town as he was very active in the community.
