The Red Bud Fire Department is comprised of many dedicated individuals who are committed to this community and in doing so, share a special bond. Last week, the department had to lay one of their own to rest after the unexpected passing of Chad Grohmann on Jan. 20.
Grohmann served the department for 23 years and was part of a trainee group self-titled “The Fab Five,” which includes Chad Langrehr, Brian Montroy, Alan Piel and Mike Wolter.
“The five of us were put on as fire department trainees in early 2001 creating the Fab Five,” stated Chad Langrehr.
