Various updates, including one on the ferry, were the biggest part of the March 27 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.
During the public comments section of the meeting, Randolph County Economic Development Director Mark Wilson had an update on the Ste. Genevieve-Modoc Ferry.
He shared that he had recently been in a phone call conversation with the State Senate Appropriations Public Safety and Infrastructure Committee to discuss Senate Bill 3274 which addresses funding for the ferry.
Wilson noted the history and importance of the ferry, and the closure threat it has been facing due to funding issues.
