FIRE CALL–Pictured is the fire caused by the downed power pole on North Main Street on June 17.
On the afternoon of Thursday, June 17, shortly after noon, a tree fell on a power pole on North Main Street by Eagle Stone in Red Bud, snapping it and causing a fire.
The fire department and city utility crew were quick to respond.
Fire Chief Sean Landgraf noted that the fire was put out quickly and the power was out for just a short while.
