Don’t miss Eagle Fest on Saturday, March 2

COME SEE THE EAGLES–The annual Eagle Fest is returning to the Jerry F. Costello Lock and Dam this weekend. At this free event, people can see a variety of animals. Pictured at a previous year’s Eagle Fest is McGwire the bald eagle from the World Bird Sanctuary with handler Kat Orlowski.

The 2024 Eagle Fest event will be held on Saturday, March 2 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Jerry F. Costello Lock & Dam in Modoc (4800 Lock and Dam Road).

All are invited to join in for eagle watching and meeting some feathered friends from the World Bird Sanctuary at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Also be sure to catch the wildlife presentation given by the Animology at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours of the lock and dam will be available by project staff and short interpretive walks will be given downstream from the lock and dam.
