Delores Elizabeth Mueller, 97, of New Athens, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, surrounded by family. The visitation will be from 8:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10 at St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10 at St. John U.C.C. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville. Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens is in charge of arrangements.
