An update on the county’s E-911 system and a request to help fund area levee systems were heard at the Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting on Jan. 22.
Randolph County 9-11 Administrator Cindy Wagner was at the meeting to give the commissioners a update on the system. She noted that the county’s Next Generation i-3 Solocom call handling equipment has been installed and is operational.
“We’ve been very busy,” she added. “We have a few things left to do, but it is up and running and going well.”
And Wagner was happy to report that all of the county telecommunicators attended the training in October for the new equipment.
Among the new features is ring cycle advancement, administrative phone integration, color status indicators of ringing, busied position, on active call, more speed dial buttons, transfer icons, headset interconnectivity and more.
