Mower bids and appointments were the biggest part of the Feb. 16 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.
County Engineer Grant Deterding reported that on Feb. 7 they had opened the bids for two new bat-wing mowers which will replace the two old ones.
The lowest bid was from Suchomski Equipment in Pinckneyville at $24,400 (with $15,000 in trade in). Deterding noted it was around $10,000 less than the original estimate.
