Commissioners approve bond for geothermal work at care center

As renovation work continues at the Randolph County Care Center, the Randolph County Board of Commissioners approved a bond issue for it at their March 28 meeting.

On the agenda was the consideration of issuing an approximately $1,800,000 taxable general obligation promissory note to pay costs of the geothermal heating and cooling system at the care center.

Board Chairman Ronnie White told the North County News that the it is approximately a $4.2 million project. Of that, most will be covered by grant funds or other incentives.
