Clifftop opened new nature preserve

Clifftop’s newest hiking trail opened to the public over the weekend at the recently acquired Storment Hauss Nature Preserve.

The 84 acre nature preserve is located at 3326 Reed Road, Red Bud, in rural southeastern Monroe County. Clifftop acquired the site through a grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation.

Clifftop held their annual membership day at the new site on Saturday, Oct. 29, giving members a first view and holding a dedication. The site opened to the public on Sunday, Oct. 30.
