Clifftop, a local conservation group which works to promote the conservation, preservation and protection of the Mississippi River bluffs corridor in Monroe, Randolph and St. Clair Counties completed a successful prescribed burn at its Paul Wightman Subterranean Nature Preserve (PWSNP) in Monroe County on Dec. 23.
A group of 20 volunteers, under the direction of burn boss Jacob Gyore and assisted by Jennifer Lesko, came together to safely burn approximately 40 acres along Kaskaskia Road.
