Sentencing for the Village of Baldwin’s former clerk, Tracie Behiter, was originally set for last Friday, however it was reset to a January date.
Behiter, 47, of Coulterville, was charged in February of this year with felony charges of theft and official misconduct.
The theft charge, a Class 1 felony, alleged that she had taken more than $10,000 but less than $100,000 from the village. The official misconduct charge noted she took the funds without authorization and is a Class 3 felony. The alleged theft activity occurring between August 2022 to January 2023.
