At the Nov. 22 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting, the board took a moment to recognize Carlos Barbour.

Barbour has served as the county’s coroner from 2016 to present, and opted to not run for re-election this year.

County Board Chairman Ronnie White wanted to recognize Barbour for his years of service. “He’s been an asset to Randolph County and we appreciate his service.”

The board then presented Barbour with a plaque to thank him for his years of service.

It was also noted that a party for Barbour’s retirement was being held that afternoon.
