Baldwin board fired village clerk, trying to move forward from theft

In the wake of felony theft charges against Baldwin Village Clerk Tracie Behiter, the village board unanimously opted to quickly dismiss her at their Feb. 21 meeting.

As there is an active criminal investigation being conducted, the board could not really comment any further. Court documents note that a preliminary hearing for Behiter has been scheduled for 9 a.m. on March 9 at the Randolph County Courthouse before Judge Jeremy Walker.
