“It was a nice day with a great crowd; it was perfect,” Rally on the River co-chairman Mark McConachie stated about this year’s event.

The eighth annual Rally on the River was held on Saturday, May 29, and McConachie reported it was well attended with over 300 people registered.

As the event is held on Memorial Day Weekend, each year, the Rally kicks off with a “Salute to Veterans.” In addition to the Evansville American Legion, the Prairie du Rocher American Legion participated in the program this year.

The keynote speaker was retired Airforce Chaplain Reverend James Thomas. Mitchell Colonel of Chester performed Taps.
