Alumni game held for gymnasium farewell

ALUMNI GAME–As a way of saying farewell to the current gymnasium, Red Bud Elementary School hosted a special alumni vs. staff game during the halftime of the last regular season girls basketball game last Friday night. Playing in this special game were: Kim (Rarden) Hughes, Kendra (Ederer) Odom, Cassie (Steibel) Heller, Maranda Williams, Nicole (Vazquez) Kellerman, Coach Larry Ehlers, Ali Ringering, Mandy Kalmer, Samantha Kohlwier, early childhood teacher Andrea Morris, fourth grade teacher Valerie Ruebusch, third grade teacher Morgan Mueth, third grade teacher Jenny Homman and school board member Abby Carter.

On Friday, Jan. 6, Red Bud Elementary School hosted its final regular season basketball game in the current gym. (The school’s addition, which includes a new gym, is currently under construction.)

With a standing room only crowd, cheer team and pep band watching, the Lady Royals beat the Sparta Cardinals in both the A and B games. The B game score was 28-15 and the A team score was 45-13, which earned them their 20th win on the season.
