Two Red Bud High School track athletes qualified at sectional competition to advance to the Class 1A IHSA State Track Meet to be held at Eastern Illinois University on Thursday, May 25.
Brayden Howard, pictured at left, qualified in the high jump event (1.85m); and Gavin Baldwin advanced in the 100m and 200m at the Nashville sectional.
Baldwin had a personal record in the 100m (11.15) as well as the 200m (22.74). He is the son of Dave and Kristy Baldwin.
This is Howard’s third year to qualify for state. He is the son of Don and Mindy Howard.
