CELEBRATING 250–Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Liberty Bell of the West Chapter asked the Randolph County Board of Commissioners if they could put up a banner by the courthouse to recognize America’s 250 and the Revolutionary War soldiers buried here. Pictured at the board meeting with the banner are DAR member Ellen Kautz, Commissioners Andy Gerlach, Ronnie White and David Holder, County Clerk Melanie Johnson and DAR member Andrea Costilow.
A look ahead at some historical events was given at the June 5 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.
First, Andrea Costilow and Ellen Kautz came to present on behalf of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Liberty Bell of the West Chapter.
Costilow noted that the chapter has a banner that they were wanting to display at the courthouse that highlights America’s 250th anniversary. This would be placed next to their monument out front, next to the flagpoles.
