REGIONAL CHAMPIONS–Red Bud won their second consecutive Class 2A regional championship on May 22 after defeating Southwestern Piasa 8-0. The team will play Flora on Wednesday at the Nashville sectional. The championship game is scheduled for Friday. The Lady Musketeers are off to a hot start in the post season. The team faced Wesclin in the regional semifinal game on May 20 and had a strong 4-0 win. Julia Ohlau was in the circle for her team and she was dominant earning 14 strikeouts. On offense, Brynlee Liefer, Peyton Kreher, Kendra Ehret, Ava Wagner and Lilly Minemann each collected one hit for the team. Overall, a strong performance from the team allowing them to head to the regional championship.
