An open house event was held on March 19 at Dieterich Bank’s Red Bud South branch to congratulate Sandra Ruhmann on her retirement.
Ruhmann has worked full time for the bank for 44 years. She started working on Jan. 11, 1982 when it was First State Bank. She recalled that at that time there were 10 employees that were working in the old bank building. And in 1987, the new bank building was built.
She noted the bank’s automation started around 2002 when they got their ATM machine.
