Local business man passed away Sunday

A long time business owner and former Red Bud alderman passed away on Sunday.

Donald “Don” Merritt Glasscock, Sr., 71, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12 in Jackson, Missouri.

Glasscock founded Ironhorse, Inc. with his wife Jan in 1989 in Missouri. They moved the business to Baldwin in 1995. That same year, the Glasscocks moved to Red Bud.

He served as a City of Red Bud alderman for 10 years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 17 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 18 from 1-2 p.m. at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Livengood officiating.
