2024 Patriot’s Pen essay contest winners announced

ADVANCED TO DISTRICT–Trinity Lutheran School student Emily Mehring won first place in this year’s Patriot’s Pen contest and has advanced to the district level. Auxiliary to Red Bud VFW Post 6632 is proud to announce the winners from their 2024 Patriot’s Pen contest.

The Patriot’s Pen essay contest gives students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades in public, home school, private and parochial schools the opportunity to write a 300 to 400 word theme based essay expressing their views on democracy while competing for worthwhile awards and prizes. The theme for this year’s essay was “My Voice in America’s Democracy?”
