COMING SOON–Those visiting Evansville will now notice a sign noting the future location of the Evansville American Legion Veterans Memorial Park. It’s been a work in progress for a few years now, but the Evansville American Legion’s Veterans Memorial Park is getting closer to reality.
Last month, ground was broken and village employees did the initial concrete work for the flag pole. And this week, a banner was unveiled at the site noting it was the future site of the memorial park. The dedication is being planned for Memorial Day, as long as the weather allows work to be completed before then.
