The Sparta Community Chorus will be presenting their fall play, Mad Gravity, Sept. 12-14 and 19-21 at the Sparta Community Playhouse. The playhouse is still located in the lobby of the former Showtime Cinema in Sparta.
Mad Gravity is directed by Laura and David Goetting, and tells the story of a young couple who want to get married, and need their parents’ blessing. The problem is their parents could not be any different, and are meeting for the first time. Mary and Joe are a very conservative upper-middle class couple, while Eudora and Archie are free-spirited artists who like to live for the moment. They also have a live theater in their living room. You can imagine their surprise when Mary and Joe walk in and find an audience who has paid to watch the entire evening.
