Red Bud High School sophomore Danny Jackson is headed back to the biggest stage in Illinois high school wrestling – the IHSA State Tournament. The tournament will be held this weekend in Champaign at the State Farm Center located on the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
“Jackson, with a record of 40-2, will compete in the 190-pound Class 1A bracket after earning a third-place finish at sectionals. His only sectional loss came in a hard fought triple overtime match against senior Ross Miller of Vandalia, showcasing the determination and grit that has defined his season,” said Coach Butch Schloemann.
