Getting the council’s thoughts on the proposed Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Southwest Connector routes through Red Bud was the biggest topic of discussion at the Sept. 8 Red Bud City Council meeting.
“I wanted to submit a letter on behalf of the city about how we were feeling about that, but it shouldn’t come from just me, it should come from us,” stated Mayor Susan Harbaugh about the proposed possible routes.
With the council looking at handouts of the possible routes, as well as it being projected on the screen, they considered the options.
