Commissioners hear audit, make donation to veterans memorial park

PRESENTED CHECK–At their July 17 meeting, the Randolph County Board of Commissioners presented a $5,000 check to the Village of Evansville for the village’s veterans memorial park. Pictured at the presentation are: Commissioners Andy Gerlach and Ronnie White, Evansville Village President Kenny Kempfer and Commissioner David Holder.

The annual county audit and a donation were the biggest parts of the July 17 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.

James Schmersahl of Schmersahl Treloar & Co. was on hand to present the audit to the commissioners. Overall, he praised the commissioners for continuing to make incremental improvements. He did have some recommendations, adding that they are already working with the county on them.

Looking at the county’s net position, Schmersahl reported that their cash investments are down a little, but this is due to timing. He also pointed out that they had received some grants.
