A father and son from Arkansas were killed in a plane crash outside of Waterloo in the early morning hours Friday due to weather conditions.
A joint press release issued by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, the Waterloo Fire Department and the Monroe County Coroner’s Office noted that around 2:34 a.m. on July 10, responders were dispatched following reports of a possible aircraft crash south of Waterloo in Rural Monroe County.
