Harbaugh is speaker for RB Memorial Day service

“Two hundred and fifty years of American history have been written not just in ink, but in the courage of those who stepped forward when the nation called,” Red Bud VFW Auxiliary President Bronda Hubler noted when welcoming all to the annual Red Bud Memorial Day service on May 25 at Ratz Memorial Park.

“The cost of our liberty has remained constant and incredibly high. We often speak of ‘freedom,’ but today we remember that freedom is never free. It is a legacy handed down to us by individuals who loved their country more than their own safety,” she continued. “Let us commit to living lives worthy of their sacrifice. May we never take for granted the simple luxuries of our daily lives, knowing they were bought with a price we can never truly repay.”
