Red Bud Police were called to MotoMart on the evening of Friday, March 6 for a report of a man with a gun.
According to the report, Officers Nick Rinehart and Mike Collins were dispatched to the gas station at 7:09 p.m. The officers observed the male suspect, identified as Noah Marco Robert Melcher, 19, of Edwardsville, inside the store. They ordered Melcher to get down on the ground. He complied and the officers took him into custody.
Melcher’s companion, identified as Haley G. Liefer, 18, of Evansville, was also taken into custody.
