At their meeting Monday night, the Red Bud City Council approved of the intergovernmental agreement with the Red Bud School District for a school resource officer.
While agreement specifics weren’t discussed at the council meeting, it had been previously discussed at the Nov. 17 public health committee meeting.
At that point, Alderman Bill Hanebutt shared that the city and the school district had been working on an agreement for a school resource officer for some time.
“I think we have a pretty good agreement set up,” he said then. “I don’t think there’s any opposition and I feel it’s something to move forward with.”
