IN MEMORY–A special brick honoring Jason Roscow was placed in the veterans memorial walk at Ratz Memorial Park. Roscow was honored during this year’s Red Bud Community Veterans Day ceremony and the brick was unveiled at that time.
At this year’s Red Bud Community Veterans Day service, a special tribute was given to a fallen police officer/veteran.
On Feb. 4 of this year Jason Roscow, 46, was fatally injured in the line of duty while serving as a North Las Vegas, NV police officer.
Originally from Prairie du Rocher, Roscow was a graduate of Red Bud High School. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Prairie du Rocher Fire Department. Following his graduation from Red Bud High School, Roscow enlisted in the Air Force and served as part of the security police, with stations worldwide. He became a lifetime member of the Red Bud VFW Post and the Prairie du Rocher American Legion.
