Red Bud VFW Post 6632’s Teacher of the Year Chairman Larry Ehlers was happy to announce that this year’s winner of the Post’s Teacher of the Year Award was Rachel Miller.
Miller is a kindergarten through fifth grade teacher at St. John’s Lutheran School in Red Bud.
It was noted that she is a prime candidate for the Smart/ Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year Award. She promotes civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism with her students and in her personal life. Miller also helps her students to develop a better understanding of democratic values and beliefs.
