Last weekend, area Boy, Girl and Cub Scouts were out delivering Scouting for Food bags to front doors around the community. Pictured are some of the Scouts prior to putting out the donation bags. This is an annual nation wide event in effort to help fill local food pantries for the holidays. This weekend, on Saturday, Nov. 22, the Scouts will be out again to collect the filled bags. Those that wish to donate can put non-perishable food (no glass items) in the bags and set them outside by 9 a.m. Please make sure bags are visible from the street, so the Scouts can see where to stop to pick up donations. If anyone did not receive a Scouting for Food bag last Saturday, any bag can be used.
