Red Bud Police Chief John Brittingham has announced that another suspect has been charged in connection with the theft of a truck from a business in Red Bud on June 22.
He noted that following a long investigation, Scott Ford, 35, of East Carondelet, was identified as a suspect in the theft.
Ford has been charged with theft over $10,000>$100,000 (theft of a motor vehicle) and for burglary to a motor vehicle.
Ford was also involved in another vehicle theft in Coulterville that resulted in a police pursuit through Perry County. Following the pursuit, he was taken into custody in Pinckneyville. He faced those charges in Perry County, then was transported to Randolph County.
