TAKING OATH OF OFFICE–On July 2, Ryan McClellan was sworn in as the new superintendent for the Monroe-Randolph Regional Office of Education. Pictured at the swearing in are: Judge Chris Hitzemann, McClellan and Monroe County Clerk Jonathan McLean.
Ryan McClellan has returned to education, taking on the position of the regional superintendent of schools for the Monroe- Randolph Regional Office of Education.
McClellan was one of six who applied for the ROE superintendent position following Kelton Davis filing a letter of notification for retirement in both Randolph and Monroe Counties in mid-May announcing that he would be retiring effective on June 30.
Davis added in his letter, “As I am unable to legally serve as Regional Superintendent of Schools for Monroe and Randolph Counties while retired under the Teacher Retirement System, I am vacating the position with exactly two years remaining on the term.”
