Vic Hamer will be giving a presentation about his non-profit organization, Give Me Water Lord, and his ongoing projects through the organization, at the Red Bud Public Library on Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Give Me Water Lord (GMWL) has several ongoing projects that help the people in Kenya, Africa.
The main focus of GMWL is to provide clean drinking water to rural Kenyans.
This is done by collecting used shoes and purses. These are sold to a distributor, who ships them to third world countries. There, people who normally can’t get good shoes, can get them at affordable prices. The funds that GMWL receives for selling the shoes and purses goes towards water well projects.
GMWL also has projects where they help fund feeding stations for orphan children. At these feeding stations, these orphans are able to get a healthy meal once a day.
In addition to feeding orphans, GMWL also helps pay for the school fees for children.
