STOLEN VEHICLES–Pictured above is the truck and below the ATV that were both stolen in Red Bud last week. If anyone has any information about either theft, they are urged to contact the Red Bud Police, either in person or by leaving an anonymous tip in the city utility payment box.

A pair of vehicles were stolen in Red Bud late last week.

A pickup truck was stolen from the Midwest Auto Creations lot on West Market Street on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 26.

Business owner Clay Carrico told police that he left at 7 p.m. and when he drove by around 7:30 p.m. the truck, which was there for sale, was missing. Carrico contacted the truck’s owner, who did not have the vehicle. The keys for the truck were still inside the building.

The truck is a white 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with black wheels and the phrase “Going For Broke” across the front windshield.

On Friday, Oct. 27, during the day, an ATV was stolen out of a yard in the West Pine Street area.

Timothy Byrnes reported to police that between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. that day someone went into his back yard and took a four wheeler. He also noted that the keys for the four wheeler, which were kept in his garage, were also missing.

The four wheeler is described as a red 1993 250cc Yamaha Timberwolf.

So far, neither vehicle has been recovered. Red Bud Police Chief John Brittingham said that if anyone has any information about either theft to please contact the police department, either anonymously or in person.
