Red Bud was scheduled to host Granite City on Monday, March 19, Lebanon on Tuesday, March 20, and Belleville Althoff on Wednesday, March 21. All games were cancelled due to weather conditions and will be rescheduled at a later date.
On Thursday, March 22, the Red Bud Lady Musketeers traveled to Steeleville to compete against the Lady Warriors. Red Bud was hoping to gain another conference win. The Lady Musketeers got things moving immediately in the first inning. Laura Juelfs singled on a bunt and scored on a wild pitch. Emma Siegfried reached base on a dropped third strike and later scored on Nicole Allen’s fly ball double to center field.
It was not until the third inning that the Lady Warriors made it on the scoreboard, however, it was not enough to take the lead. The Musketeers rallied back in the fourth inning to extend their lead. Allen doubled on a line drive to center field and Tory Huggins followed up with a walk. Both scored on MaKenzie Harbaugh’s line drive double to left field. Steeleville did not put their heads down in the bottom of the fourth inning. They scored five runs and stole the lead.
