Two suspects caught from Route 3 Bar theft

Monroe County Sheriff Neal Rohlfing reported that on June 5, two men from Missouri were charged for the burglary and theft of an ATM from the Route 3 Bar, located south of Waterloo.

Larry E. Jones, 48, of St. Charles, MO, and Lucky B. Miner, 45, of St. Louis, MO, were both charged with burglary and theft for their roles in the theft. Both received a $100,000 bond.

Jones is currently in custody at the St. Louis County Justice Center and Miner is in custody at the Missouri Department of Corrections.

The burglary took place on Dec. 10, 2017. Initial reports noted that around 4 a.m. that day, video surveillance showed three white male suspects breaking into the bar by forcing entry through the bar’s front door and stealing an ATM, which was taken out through a patio door.

The sheriff’s office is still looking for information on the third suspect from the burglary and asks that if anyone has any information on his identity to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department at 618-939-6464.
