Randolph County saw its fifth and sixth COVID-19 related deaths reported this week. However, the number of active cases in the county as well as the positivity rate has continued to drop.
On Monday, June 8, Randolph County Health Department Administrator reported the county’s fifth death. The next day on June 9, she reported the sixth. No additional information on the individuals was given.
Prior to this week, the last two deaths in the county were reported on May 11 and 27.
As of June 9, Oathout noted that there were only five active cases in the county. Of those, four individuals were recovering at home and one in a hospital.
