BEWARE THE CREEPY CRAWLIES–Pictured is part of a spider filled scene along the trail in the Evansville Fire Department’s annual Haunted Woods.
Are you prepared to see what goes bump in the night? The Evansville Haunted Woods can show you.
The haunt is located in the woods near the Evansville ball diamonds. It opened last weekend and will be open every Friday and Saturday night through Oct. 28 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Assistant Fire Chief/Village Trustee Darren Kempfer pointed out that this event is the only fundraiser this year for the Evansville Fire Department.
The fire department has utilized the Haunted Woods as their primary fundraiser for several years, as they are one of the few departments in the area that does not charge fire dues.
The event is set up and put on by the fire department and their friends, with all of the proceeds going back to the fire department.
