Support veterans during Buddy Poppy Week

Red Bud Mayor Tim Lowry has signed a proclamation declaring the week of May 21-27 as Buddy Poppy Week for the City of Red Bud.
Buddy Poppies are symbolic of the blood shed in World War I by millions of Allied soldiers in defense of freedom.
They were originally sold to provide relief for the people of war devastated France; later the sale of the Buddy Poppies directly benefitted thousands of disabled and down and out American veterans.
As part of Buddy Poppy Week, Red Bud VFW Post #6632 and its Auxiliary will be selling Buddy Poppies at the square and at a few locations around town on Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27.
Please consider purchasing a Buddy Poppy to help veterans in need.
