Sparta High School Art Show this Sunday at Misselhorn Art Gallery

The Misselhorn Art Foundation Trustees will host a reception and exhibit showcasing the talents of the advanced art students of Sparta High School at the Misselhorn Art Gallery on Sunday, Nov. 5 from 1-5 p.m.

The new fall exhibition, entitled “The Sparta High School Art Show,” will feature 12 students who are advanced in art. Some of the students exhibiting received Misselhorn Summer School scholarships and attended Eastern Illinois University Summer Art Camp.

Students presenting their work in this exhibit are: Carly Carril, Adrienne Carril, Jessie Lawless, Brianna Ledbetter, Grace McDonald, Kaylee Mills, Nayda Miller, Sejal Patel, Dylon Robert, Sommer Rodenberg, Daniela Sangurima and Ariana Wallace.

Watercolor, acrylic, pencil, markers, steel and mixed media re the mediums used in this exhibit which will run from the opening reception on Nov. 5 through Dec. 17.

Everyone is invited to come to the Misselhorn Gallery, at 611 W. Second Street in Sparta, to meet the art students, their high school art teacher Yvonne Balleto, and view the show.
