School district’s new online school registration considered a success

VISITORS’ SEATING–Pictured is the new bleachers that were recently installed at the Red Bud High School football field to accommodate the spectators from the visiting teams.

Changing to an online registration process and the updates to the high school football field were the biggest topics of discussion at the very brief Red Bud Board of Education meeting on July 19.

Both Elementary Principal Ryan McClellan and High School Principal Rob Pipher both discussed the new registration process with the board, highlighting the ease and convenience of the process.

Online registration has been great,” McClellan noted. “We’re discussing some tweaks for next year.”

Among the changes the principals are wanting to make would be to allow parents to scan and email over proof of residency and other forms that had to be dropped off this year.

Both principals did note though, that these forms could be sent with the children on the first day of school, as well as the payment of student fees.

Everything was already entered and it was so easy,” commented board member Abby Carter about the new registration process.

When discussing the district’s summer projects, Tallman noted that their big project, the new visitor’s bleachers and lights at the high school football field, has been completed.

It’s been a good project,” he noted.

They are just finishing up the project now by seeding grass behind the new bleachers.
